About Me

Welcome, my name is Ken and I am the creator of Phase 3 Glassworks. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website! Please reach out if you have any questions.

Why Phase 3 Glass Works? I consider my stained glass business to be the third phase of my life. I spent the first 30 years of my career building high end custom furniture. From there I moved on to creating Peace Pups Dogsledding; a dogsled tour business from our home here in Lake Elmore. After doing that for 15 years I decided it was time to phase the business out. Why? In great part due to the changing climate. I am seeing a definite pattern change with the weather here in Vermont and it won't surprise me if we no longer have snow here ten years from now. That thought makes me very sad for my pack because I know how much they love the snow. Rather than ending up with a 30 dog sled dog kennel and no snow to play in I have decided to be proactive and phase Peace Pups Dogsledding out. My goal is to not have to ever place any of my dogs. I want them to be able to live out their lives here with their human and canine family.

The next chapter; Phase 3 Glassworks!

Why stained glass? For as long as I can remember I have loved to create art. Even as a child I had a strong desire to create. Over the years I have dappled in drawing, painting and pottery but stained glass really captured my heart. I love working with the wide range of colors, textures, and transparencies that glass offers and I look forward to many years exploring this medium.

10% for peace! As with my dogsled tour business I intend to continue donating 10% of my profits to non-profits working for world peace. Over the past 15 years I have been able to donate close to $15,000 dollars. It isn't a lot each year but it adds up over time and hopefully it makes a difference in the world.
